About me.
+ Passion projects
My education has always been fueled by my interests, and I strive to continue learning and creating things through this passion.
Starting around the 5th grade, I had the privilege of experiencing a homeschooled environment. This less rigid structure allowed me to pursue exactly what interested me. Throughout the years I was homeschooled, I got to visit history museums and talk to volunteers who experienced the times we otherwise only read about. Every Friday, I explored the vast forests of Washington with a group of other students, and learned about native plants and what their functions are. I studied for a sailplane pilot’s license, including going to Arlington for lessons. Through four years of community college, I got to explore subjects from film and art, philosophy and political science, to physics, chemistry, and calculus. While my interests have since changed, the process of learning and immersing myself in these pools of knowledge with passionate people has been immensely valuable to my formation as a person.
Most recently, this led me to pursue a degree in Community, Environment and Planning (B.A.) at the University of Washington. The self - directed, student - led structure resonated well with the learning style I know and love. As a now graduate of the CEP program, I am happy to say that this path has helped shape my collaborative skills, and strengthened my will to create great communal places through design excellence.

Passion projects
Outside of the academic realm, here are some of my favorite areas to spend my time in.
Photography is one of my favorite ways to express my creative eye. Combined with the slow, intentional nature of processing and capturing using film, I have found film photography to be both relaxing and aesthetically pleasing.
Automobiles provide both a very hands - on, tactile way of learning (by wrenching on them), while also offering a very diverse community of individuals, all connected by an undying passion for the scene.
From the logistics of sourcing coffee beans fairly, to the chemistry of properly roasting them, to brewing a proper balance of flavors, all the way to how to pour a great design using only milk, coffee has been impactful to me since my childhood.
